FURIA showcased a confident performance against OG at the Thunderpick World Championship 2025, securing a 2:0 victory (13:10 Nuke, 13:9 Inferno). Despite the loss, OG’s spooke earned the MVP title with a 1.27 rating. OG now fall to the lower bracket, while FURIA move one step closer to the playoffs of the $850,000 event.

Nuke (13:10 FURIA)

The match began on OG’s map pick. In the first half, FURIA looked like the clear favorite — their active defense and strong coordination allowed them to win the half 7:5. In the second half, OG briefly took the lead at 8:7, but FURIA quickly regained control and closed out the map 13:10.

Inferno (13:9 FURIA)

On their own pick, FURIA played even more aggressively. Their AWPer, molodoy, often initiated fights successfully, giving the team an early edge. FURIA led 7:5 after the first half. Playing on the T side, OG tried to impose their game plan but managed to take only four rounds. FURIA sealed the deal 13:9.

Match MVP

Despite OG’s defeat, it was their player spooke who received the MVP award for this match. He recorded a +3.94% Swing and a 1.27 rating. However, his efforts weren’t enough to secure a win for his team.

OG drop to the lower bracket, where they will face the loser of The MongolZ vs 9z for a chance to stay in the tournament. FURIA, meanwhile, will take on the winner of that matchup — a victory there would send them straight to the playoffs. The Thunderpick World Championship 2025 runs from October 15 to 19, featuring a total prize pool of $850,000, with $340,000 reserved for teams and $510,000 for organizations.
