FURIA came from behind to claim a 2–1 victory over Falcons, eliminating them from IEM Cologne 2025. The series showcased a fierce battle with momentum swinging across three maps, as FURIA demonstrated resilience and clutch performance to advance.

The match featured Train, Mirage, and Dust2 — with Falcons taking the opening map but FURIA fighting back to close out the series.

Map 1 – Train (13:7 Falcons)

Falcons started strong on their map pick, taking the first four rounds and maintaining pressure throughout the first half to lead 8–7. FURIA tried to mount a comeback but Falcons’ defense held firm in the second half, winning five rounds in a row to close the map 13–7.

Map 2 – Mirage (13:11 FURIA)

On Mirage, FURIA set the pace early, winning the opening four rounds aggressively. Falcons adapted well and kept the score tight, matching FURIA round for round. Ultimately, FURIA edged out Falcons in critical moments, securing a narrow 13–11 victory to level the series.

Map 3 – Dust2 (13:7 FURIA)

Dust2 began with Falcons taking another early 4–0 lead. However, FURIA quickly adjusted their strategy and began chipping away at the deficit. The momentum swung heavily in their favor as FURIA went on an impressive 10-round winning streak, dominating the closing stages and clinching the map and series 13–7.

Standout Performers

  • kyousuke (Falcons): Despite the loss, kyousuke stood out as the series MVP with a 1.51 rating, showcasing exceptional individual skill throughout.
  • KSCERATO (FURIA): Played a crucial role on Mirage and Dust2, delivering key plays and steadying his team in pivotal rounds.
  • molodoy (FURIA): Consistently impactful across all maps, providing solid support and maintaining pressure on Falcons.

FURIA’s victory highlights their ability to adapt and perform under pressure, especially after dropping the first map. Falcons showed flashes of brilliance, led by kyousuke’s impressive play, but couldn’t sustain the momentum when it mattered most.

FURIA now continue their journey at IEM Cologne 2025, aiming for a deep playoff run. Meanwhile, Falcons’ tournament run ends here.
