MOUZ took down Liquid on IEM Cologne 2025 Group B Upper Bracket

MOUZ secured a decisive 2–0 victory over Liquid in the IEM Cologne 2025 Group B upper bracket quarter-final. The world #2 lineup dominated Inferno and Train, with xertioN earning MVP honors for his 1.38 rating and consistent impact. MOUZ advance to face Natus Vincere in the upper semi-final, while Liquid drop to the lower bracket to play FaZe.

Map 1 – Inferno (13:7 MOUZ)

Liquid’s pick started poorly as MOUZ took control early, leading 10–2 at halftime on the CT side. torzsi’s precise AWPing and Jimpphat’s mid-round impact kept Liquid from establishing momentum. Despite a brief comeback attempt from Liquid—highlighted by Twistzz’s 4K defense on Mid—MOUZ closed the map comfortably.

Map 2 – Train (13:9 MOUZ)

MOUZ’s own pick was tighter. The first half ended 6–6, with NertZ pulling off a critical 1v2 Five-Seven clutch to delay MOUZ’s lead. However, xertioN and torzsi stepped up in the second half, winning key entries and breaking Liquid’s economy. Jimpphat added stability with multiple multi-kills, sealing the series 2–0.

MOUZ move on to meet Natus Vincere in the Group B upper semi-final. Liquid fall to the lower bracket, where they will face FaZe in an elimination match.
