Virtus.pro vs TYLOO – IEM Cologne 2025 Stage 1 Upper Bracket: VP cruise past TYLOO 2–0
Virtus.pro opened their IEM Cologne 2025 campaign with a confident 2–0 victory over TYLOO in the upper bracket round of 16. The CIS squad controlled both maps, Inferno and Overpass, with standout performances from Perfecto and FL1T. TYLOO’s JamYoung showed individual brilliance early on, but it wasn’t enough to stop the Russians from advancing. With this result, VP move forward to face GamerLegion in the upper quarter-finals, while TYLOO drop to the lower bracket.
Map 1 – Inferno (13:7 VP)
TYLOO’s map pick began with promise as JamYoung delivered a sensational 4-kill Glock round on the B site to start things off. The first half ended tied at 6–6, with Mercury securing a smart 1v2 clutch in the mid-game. However, once sides switched, Virtus.pro slammed the brakes on TYLOO’s momentum. fame’s explosive 4K on the B-site and clinical teamplay closed out the half 7–1 in VP’s favor, securing the opening map 13–7.
Map 2 – Overpass (13:5 VP)
Virtus.pro continued their dominance on their own pick, this time building an early lead and never looking back. Perfecto starred with a stylish 1v2 clutch using a Tec-9, while FL1T and ICY provided consistent firepower throughout the half. TYLOO couldn’t find a single round on their T-side, going 0–6 in the second half as VP sealed the map 13–5 and the series 2–0.
Virtus.pro progress to the upper quarter-finals where they will face GamerLegion, while TYLOO are relegated to the lower bracket and must fight through elimination. Elsewhere in the bracket, GamerLegion upset Complexity, and teams like Liquid, FaZe, and Heroic are set to play their openers.
