Aurora sends Liquid home with a clean 2-0 sweep

Aurora came into this match with something to prove, and they delivered. Facing elimination in the Group B lower bracket semi-final, the Turkish squad put Liquid away with a decisive 2-0 win. Starting on Inferno, Liquid’s map pick, Aurora stomped their way to a 13-7 victory. The fire didn’t cool off on Dust2 either, as Aurora shut the series down 13-9, sending Liquid out of IEM Dallas 2025 without touching the third map, Anubis.

Liquid had decent starts on both maps but crumbled in key moments. Twistzz put up strong numbers with a 93 ADR and 31 kills, but the rest of the squad couldn’t keep up. NAF and NertZ were solid in impact but couldn’t break Aurora’s mid-round setups. Meanwhile, XANTARES was on fire from the first round to the last, dropping 36 kills and leading in both ADR and impact. jottAAA also made a statement with a 4K A-site defence that shut down a 4v5 push and flipped the economy.

Aurora’s coordination was a level above what Liquid brought. From woxic’s picks to Wicadia’s confident anchoring, the Turkish side looked locked in across both maps. Liquid, on the other hand, never found an edge and looked shaky in crucial post-plants.
