Yesterday, March 19 four matches took place in Group A on the first day of the Counter-Strike 2 tournament in Lisbon – BLAST Open 2025.

Teams that won in the first round of Group A advanced to the second round of the bracket:

  • Spirit – 2-0 – The Huns (Anubis, Dust2)
  • MOUZ – 2-0 – Falcons (Train, Ancient)
  • Vitality – 2-0 – Astralis (Inferno, Dust2)
  • FaZe – 1-2 – Vitality (Anubis (FaZe), Ancient, Dust2)

Teams that lost in the first round of Group A moved to the Lower Round, where they will compete for a chance to stay in the tournament.

Today, March 20, four opening-round matches of Group B will take place:

  • G2 vs Imperial
  • Eternal Fire vs Liquid
  • The MongolZ vs M80
  • Natus Vincere vs FURIA

The likely winners of these maps are G2, MongolZ, and NaVi, but there are doubts about EF vs. Liquid -- both teams are far from their best form. Given the exhaustion of the Turkish squad, their only hope against Liquid is a major mistake from their opponent, which is quite possible.

On Friday, March 21, the Upper and Lower matches of BLAST Open Lisbon 2025 will be played:
