In the decisive round of the Elimination Stage at the Shanghai Major 2024 , Natus Vincere faced off against HEROIC. Both teams needed a win to secure a spot in the playoffs, making the match highly anticipated and intense.

The first map, Mirage, was HEROIC's pick. Pre-match expectations suggested a close battle without a clear favorite. However, HEROIC quickly demonstrated why they chose Mirage. From the outset, they dominated the game, taking an overwhelming 10-2 lead by halftime. The result was almost a foregone conclusion, and the first map ended with a commanding 13-3 victory for the Norwegian squad.

The second map, Nuke, was selected by NAVI. The Born to Win needed to equalize the series to keep their tournament hopes alive. The first half mirrored the dynamics of Mirage but in NAVI’s favor, as they surged to a 10-2 lead. Although HEROIC managed to claw back a few rounds in the second half, it wasn't enough to turn the tide. NAVI closed the map with a 13-5 scoreline, leveling the series at 1-1.

The decider map, Ancient, set the stage for the final showdown to determine who would advance to the Shanghai Major 2024 playoffs. NAVI started strong, gaining a slight advantage, but HEROIC managed to equalize, and the first half concluded in a nail-biting 6-6 draw. The second half was an electrifying display of skill and strategy, but HEROIC edged out NAVI, securing a 13-9 win.
