The 00NATION team will miss the OMEN WGR Challenge 2023, as the event organizers announced on social media. The Brazilian team was forced to withdraw from the championship due to planning their calendar in order to participate in other competitions. In turn, tournament operator Hyped quickly found a replacement for the eliminated participant by inviting 9INE to the event.

The Polish team 9INE has received an invitation to the OMEN WGR Challenge 2023. They will replace 00NATION in Group B.

Probably, the decision to withdraw from the championship is due to the fact that the Brazilian team 00NATION qualified for ESL Pro League Season 17, and is also preparing to participate in the open qualifier for Intel Extreme Masters Spring 2023. Thus, the roster will not have to fly to Europe to participate in the championship, and then come back to participate in the qualifiers.

Now the Polish team 9INE will be forced to go to Group B, where Team Falcons, Eternal Fire and Rapid Ninjas are also represented. In the first round of the group stage, the team will face the Hungarians from Rapid Ninjas.

Group B line-up for OMEN WGR Challenge 2023:

  • 9INE
  • Team Falcons
  • Eternal Fire
  • Rapid Ninjas

OMEN WGR European Challenge 2023 runs from January 22 to February 1 online. As part of the championship, eight teams from Europe and Latin America will compete for a total prize pool of €15,000.
