MIBR will continue to compete in the ESL Challenger League in North America

According to the Dust2 portal, the Brazilian team will continue to compete in the ESL Challenger League in North America. Earlier, the organizers forbade the team to take part in tournaments held outside of their native region, that is, outside of Brazil. However, MIBR has now been officially announced for the upcoming ESL Challenger League Season 44: North America.

The ESL spokesperson's initial statement was in response to fans' anger after MIBR managed to secure an invitation to IEM Katowice 2023 via the South American leaderboard despite the fact that the team plays in North America and that's where they score their points. As a result, the team overtook 9z and Fluxo in the table, which played exclusively in their region and lost the opportunity to go to the tournament in Katowice in February.

According to the source, MIBR was given a choice between Latin America and North America, as a result of which the team opted for the second region.

Recall that last season the Brazilian team became the winner of ESL Challenger League Season 40: North America and ESL Challenger League Season 43: North America, and also took third place in the ESL Challenger League Season 42: North America.
