SunPayus, the sniper of the ENCE team, has reported a positive test result for the coronavirus. The 23-year-old Spanish esportsman announced this on his social networks. However, at the time of publication of the material, the club has not issued an official statement regarding the situation. However, given the trend, SunPayus risks missing out on the Elisa Masters Espoo 2022 playoffs.

Today is not a good day, I just received an SMS notification from the doctor, the test results were as follows: COVID-19 positive.

Recall that SunPayus joined ENCE from Movistar Riders in early August. In three months, the Spanish sniper helped the team get into the top three at Pelaajat.com Nordic Masters: Fall 2022, Intel Extreme Masters Road to Rio 2022: European RMR B and ESL Challenger at DreamHack Rotterdam 2022.

The day before, ENCE played at the group stage of Elisa Masters Espoo 2022, where they got four wins over HAVU (16:12), GamerLegion (16:10), HEET (16:9) and BIG (16:9), thanks to which they reached the semi-finals of the championship. Here the European team will meet with the second team from group B.

Given the news of SunPayus' illness, ENCE has several options: 1) ask the organizers to provide their sniper with a separate room for playoff performances; 2) apply for the hades championship, which is inactive and ask the Pole to come to Finland on an emergency basis; 3) play out the event together with the sAw coach.

Elisa Masters Espoo 2022 takes place from November 16 to 20 in the Finnish city of Espoo at the Espoo Metro Arena. As part of the championship, twelve teams from Europe are fighting for a total prize pool of $200,000, as well as a ticket to Intel Extreme Masters Katowice 2023.
