After the end of the Legends stage at IEM Rio Major 2022, the regional distribution of participants by stages of BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023 was established. fight for automatic entry into the TOP-16 of next CSGO major. This alignment will continue if Valve, the main mastermind behind the majors, does not make changes to their rulebook.

Since only one team from America, FURIA, made it to the playoffs of IEM Rio Major 2022, next time the regional distribution of slots in the Legends Stage will remain unchanged.

As for the Challengers stage at BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023, 10 teams from Europe, four teams from America and two teams from Asia will take part in it. At the same time, the seeding for the Contenders basket should remain unchanged, given the previous rules of Valve.

Regional distribution of participants at BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023:

  • Europe (14 places for getting into the TOP-16 at IEM Rio Major 2022 [7 trips to Legends] + 3 Contenders slots)
  • America (2 places for getting into the TOP-16 at IEM Rio Major 2022 [1 trip to Legends] + 3 Contenders slots)
  • Asia (0 places for getting into the TOP-16 at IEM Rio Major 2022 + 2 Contenders slots)

If Valve keeps the current formula for the majors, the only way America and Asia can get more seats in the Challengers and Legends stages is if they perform well at the BLAST.tv Paris Major 2023.
