NAVI beats Bad News Eagles at IEM Rio Major 2022
The NaVi team turned out to be stronger than Bad News Eagles with a score of 2:0, eliminating the Kosovar team from IEM Rio Major 2022. The "Born to Win" make it to the fifth round of the Legends stage, where they will compete for a ticket to the playoffs of the competition. However, the Bad News Eagles leave the championship, taking 12-14th place and earning $20,000.
The opening meeting of the fourth round began on the Ancient map, which became the choice of the Bad News Eagles. However, the Brazilian fans did not see any intrigue here, as the NAVI players immediately took the initiative into their own hands and made excellent use of the start on defense, knocking out a solid advantage - 12:3. After switching sides, the "Born to Win" managed to win the pistol series, thanks to which they resolved all the issues and took the lead in the series - 16:3.
Next, the teams moved to the Nuke map, which turned out to be the choice of NAVI. But if the start in the half was left for the Ukrainian team, then closer to the changeover, the Bad News Eagles players managed to wake up and level the gap to one round — 8:7. However, after the change of sides, "Born to Win" quickly killed the intrigue on the server, showing excellent defense. As a result, NAVI confidently reached the victory and knocked out the Bad News Eagles from the championship — 16:9.
