Cloud9, IHC Esports, 00NATION and Imperial Esports are one step away from IEM Rio Major 2022 elimination

The second round of the IEM Rio Major 2022 Challengers Stage has come to an end, following which the teams Cloud9 , IHC Esports, 00NATION and Imperial Esports suffered their second defeat and remained one step away from being eliminated from the championship. At the same time, the teams MOUZ, fnatic, Bad News Eagles and GamerLegion got the second victory, thanks to which they got closer to entering the "legends" of the tournament. The second round of the competition kicked off with a derby win by FURIA over 00NATION (16:6). At the same time, the Russian team Outsiders managed to outplay IHC Esports (16:12), giving the Mongols a second defeat in a row. Then the MOUZ team coped with the representatives of Evil Geniuses (16:10), as well as the Bad News Eagles unexpectedly beat BIG (16:11).

In the next portion of the matches, the GamerLegion team made a sensation, having managed to defeat Vitality (16:10) on the Vertigo map. At the same time, the 9z team turned out to be stronger than Imperial Esports (16:11), aggravating the position of the Brazilians. IEM Rio Major 2022 takes place from October 31 to November 13 in Brazil at the Jeunesse Arena and at the Riocentro convention center. As part of the championship, 24 teams from the CIS, Europe, North and South America, and Asia are fighting for a total prize pool of $1,250,000, ranking points in the BLAST Premier table, as well as tickets to BLAST Premier: World Final 2022 and IEM Katowice 2023 for the winner.
