IHC Esports and Grayhound advanced to the Major tournament

Intel Extreme Masters Road to Rio 2022 Europe Asia-Pacific RMR has come to an end. As a result of this tournament, the status of Contenders was given to IHC Esports, which took first place, and Grayhound Gaming , which took second place.

IHC Esports went through the upper bracket and defeated JiJie Hao International and Grayhound Gaming on their way with a score of 2-0. Thus, kabal and company did not lose on a single map in the entire tournament.

Grayhound Gaming, in turn, first beat Rare Atom with a score of 2-1, after which they were defeated in a battle with IHC Esports with a score of 0-2 and went down to the lower bracket. there they defeated JiJie Hao International without losing a single map and took second place in the Intel Extreme Masters Road to Rio 2022 Europe Asia-Pacific RMR standings.

The teams entered the Major tournament as members of the Challengers Staeg. There they will compete with Team Vitality, Cloud9, BIG, Bad News Eagles, MOUZ, 9z Team, GamerLegion, 00 Nation, FURIA Esports, Fnatic and other teams that will go there at the end of IEM Road to Rio 2022 Europe RMR B.

Teams such as FaZe Clan, Natus Vincere, ENCE, NiP, Sprout and Team Spirit took their place in the Legends Stage. OG and Heroic will play the seventh slot in the EU RMR B, while Team Liquid and Evil Geniuses will distribute the eighth slot in the American RMR.

Intel Extreme Masters Rio 2022 will be held from October 31 to November 13. The total prize fund of this Major championship will be $1,250,000. The main reward will be $500,000, an invitation to IEM Katowice 2023 with a prize pool of $1,000,000 and a top prize of $400,000. In addition to cash prizes, the winner will receive 4,000 BLAST Premier points and receive an invite to the BLAST Premier World Final 2022 with a prize pool of $1,000,000 and a top prize of $500,000. The venue for IEM Rio 2022 will be the Riocentro venue, while the playoffs will take place at the Jeunesse Arena.
