FaZe Clan wins first victory in ESL Pro League Season 16
The FaZe Clan team defeated FTW with a score of 2:0 at the start of the group stage of ESL Pro League Season 16. Thanks to this victory, the European team scores the first three points and moves into the intermediate leaders of group B. In turn, the Portuguese suffer a crushing defeat, showing complete unpreparedness for wrestling on the TIER-1 stage.
The opening match of group B started on the Inferno map, which became the choice of the Portuguese team. However, the fans did not see any struggle from the very beginning of the meeting, as FaZe Clan instantly seized the initiative and spent a convincing half on defense — 11:4. After switching sides, RobbaN's wards didn't give up a single round to the opponent at all, quickly taking the lead in the series — 16:4.
Next, the teams moved to the Overpass map, which turned out to be the choice of FaZe Clan. And again, the FTW players did not show any struggle, showing a frankly weak game for defense - 11:4. After the side switch, the European team quickly took the initiative and won the pistol series. As a result, FaZe Clan confidently played at their peak, thanks to which they got their first victory in the championship — 16:4.
In the next round, FaZe Clan will play with the Brazilian team MIBR, while FTW will have to go to meet the Outsiders.
