ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2022 has come to an end. As part of the championship, which was held from September 2 to 4 in Melbourne at the Rod Laver Arena, eight teams from the CIS, Europe, China, Australia, North and South America fought for the total prize pool of $100,000, as well as a ticket to the ESL Pro League Conference Season 17. The winner of the tournament was the Brazilian team paiN Gaming, which defeated compatriots from Imperial Esports with a score of 2:1 in the grand final (Overpass - 19:17; Nuke - 7:16; Dust II - 16:12).

The championship for the future winner began with two confident victories over Grayhound Gaming (16:12) and Imperial Esports (16:5) in the group stage. Having made it to the playoffs, paiN Gaming managed to get a difficult victory over Wings Up Gaming (2:0). Well, in the grand final, the team again outplayed compatriots Imperial Esports (2:1), thus becoming the winner of the ESL Challenger at DreamHack Melbourne 2022 and earning a prize of $50,000.
