Ninjas in Pajamas secures first win at ESL Pro League Season 16 group stage
/The Ninjas in Pajamas team defeated Endpoint with a score of 2:0, thanks to which they got the first three points in the group stage of ESL Pro League Season 16. Now the Swedish team will start preparing for the final round, in which they will meet with the NAVI team. In turn, the Endpoint team is aggravating their standings ahead of the final match against fnatic, which will take place tomorrow, September 4th.
The first meeting of the fourth game day of group A started on the Vertigo map, which turned out to be the choice of Endpoint. At the same time, Rejin's wards showed a confident start, at some point risking creating a rout. However, the Swedish team managed to adapt to the opponent's game, thanks to which they showed a confident series and got a minimal advantage - 8:7. After the side switch, the intrigue completely disappeared from the radar, as Endpoint was unable to take a single round on defense and left the game in the hands of the opponent. In turn, Ninjas in Pajamas gladly took advantage of the opponent's gift, thanks to which she took the lead in the series — 16:7.
Next, the teams moved to the Inferno map, which became the choice of Ninjas in Pajamas. However, the first half was dictated by the Endpoint players, who took into account their mistakes on the previous map and showed confident defense. In turn, the Swedes failed to unwind in the attack, which is why they were content with only five rounds in the first half - 10:5. And yet, after switching sides, Ninjas in Pajamas managed to quickly catch up with the opponent and return the intrigue to the server. Nevertheless, the teams could not identify the strongest in regular time and moved to overtime. Here the Swedes managed to put the squeeze on their opponent, thanks to which they got their first victory in the championship - 19:15.
The best player of the match was Brollan, who scored 1.43. In turn, Nertz once again excelled as part of Endpoint, who played the duel with a rating of 1.31.

ESL Pro League Season 16 runs from August 31st to October 2nd in Malta at the Salini Resort. 24 teams from Europe, CIS, North and South America compete for a total prize pool of $835,000. The winner of the tournament will receive the main prize of $175,000, as well as tickets to BLAST Premier: World Final 2022 and IEM Katowice 2023.
