SAW is the winner of the fourth open qualifier for IEM Road to Rio 2022 for Europe

The last open qualifier for IEM Road to Rio 2022 for Europe has ended, as a result of which six teams made it to the RMR tournament at once and completed the list of participants. At the same time, the Portuguese team sAw became the winner of the last qualifiers, having managed to overcome the entire path without a single defeat. In this regard, we propose to sum up the results of the qualification and present the final list of participants in IEM Road to Rio 2022 for Europe.

The SAW team became the champion of the last qualification, which beat PACT (16:4), Infinite Gaming (16:5), Anonymo Esports (16:9), GamerLegion (2:0), 1WIN (16:9) and Astralis on its way (16:12). The second line is occupied by the Danish team Astralis, which, despite the defeat from SAW (12:16) in the grand final, had previously managed to beat Budapest Five (16:12), los kogutos (16:12), BLUEJAYS (16:11), Illuminar Gaming (2:0) and HEET (16:9).

Third place went to the French from HEET, who started with victories over Nexus Gaming (16:11), Pusheens (16:14), xdddd (16:12) and BenchedHeroes (2:0), but on the last day they lost to Astralis (9:16). And yet the team managed to cope with 1WIN (16:14) and take third place. Next came the 1WIN team, which failed the final game day of the qualifier, losing to SAW (9:16) and HEET (14:16).

The BenchedHeroes team qualified from fifth place at IEM Road to Rio 2022 for Europe, which, having entered the separate bracket, managed to get victories over Illuminar Gaming (2:1) and GamerLegion (16:10). Nevertheless, GamerLegion should not be upset, as the team has also earned its place in the upcoming RMR tournament.

The fourth open qualifier for IEM Road to Rio 2022 for Europe was held online from 26 to 28 August.
