Esports Club Kyiv put on bench Smash and Flarich

Esports Club Kyiv, an esports organization, announced on social networks that changes have been made to the CS:GO team. Oleksandr 'Smash' Turchyn and Vadim 'Flarich' Karetin have been retired.

The CEO of the Ukrainian team Maksym Bednarsky gave the following comment:

After the unsuccessful performances of the team over the past month, we realized that we will not be able to claim the goals that we face in this lineup. It was decided to transfer two players to the reserve and test new players in their positions. I believe that soon the fate of Smash and Flarich will be decided, and all parties will be satisfied. On my own behalf, I want to thank the players for the time in the team, they are individually great players and can strengthen many teams, but it happens that it is not possible to realize the full potential of the team, so I am sure that the decision will benefit both the team and the players. We are also expanding the coaching staff and tomorrow we will announce another coach of our team.

Smash has been playing for EC Kyiv since February 2020, and Flarich joined the team on July 25 this year. This year, the club from Ukraine managed to take part in a number of regional online tournaments and qualifications. Of the achievements, it is worth noting the 2nd place at the BACK TO BACK Tournament, the 3rd-4th place at the Malta Vibes Knockout Series #6, as well as the victory at the Esport Tour 2022: Series #2. In August, EC Kyiv took part in the qualifiers for IEM Road to Rio 2022: European RMR, but were not successful.

Over the past few days, the team's profile at ESEA has added such players as Kvem and bondik, as well as the former coach of The Incas and Natus Vincere, Kane. Probably, these are the new team members that the organization will announce tomorrow. The next match where Esports Club Kyiv will be able to test the new roster will be the match against MASONIC as part of Elisa Invitational Fall 2022.

The current roster of Esports Club Kyiv is presented below:
