The third open South American qualifier for IEM Road to Rio 2022 for America has come to an end, and the winner is Arctic eSports. In the finals of the qualifiers, the Brazilian team turned out to be stronger than Isurus (19:15), thanks to which they received the highest seeding at the upcoming RMR tournament. We propose to sum up the results of the last qualifiers.

During the open qualifiers, Arctic eSports turned out to be stronger than Furious Gaming (16:8), Paquetá Gaming (16:14), Corinthians Esports (2:0) and Isurus (19:15). In turn, the Argentine team, despite the defeat from Arctic eSports (15:19) in the final, made it to IEM Road to Rio 2022 for America, having managed to beat Stars Horizon (16:8), ODDIK (19:17) and B4 Esports (2:1).

The third place according to the results of the qualifiers went to the B4 Esports team, which turned out to be stronger than Corinthians Esports (2:1) in their match. In case of unforeseen situations, the Brazilian team will go to the RMR tournament.

The third open South American qualifier for the IEM Road to Rio 2022 Americas took place online from 25 to 27 August.

The RMR tournament for teams from North and South America will take place from 5 to 9 October in Stockholm. The team that takes first place at IEM Road to Rio 2022 will receive Legend status. The teams that take places from 2nd to 3rd will receive the Challenger status. Teams ranked from 4th to 6th will receive Contender status. The remaining teams will miss IEM Rio Major 2022.
