The results of the WePlay Academy League Season 5 group stage can be found in our previous article.

The main favorites in the fight for reaching the final stage of the tournament

The main favorite of the first bracket is the Ukrainian team NAVI Junior. Not without the help of fate, but the team still managed to immediately get into the Play-In semi-finals. At the same time, the rivals of the "Born to Win" have their own problems.

Firstly, the Danes are in the process of restructuring, because after the end of WePlay Academy League Season 5, the roster will undergo major changes. According to rumors, brzer wants to see in ECSTATIC, while Sprout is interested in Fessor services.

As for FURIA Academy, the Brazilian team performed well in the group stage, having suffered only four defeats. However, the team lost to all direct competitors, as well as often created problems for itself in games with outsiders. As a result, FURIA Academy may lack confidence at the most crucial moment, as the team plays too straightforward and predictable.

In the second bracket, the undisputed favorite is the Swedish team Young Ninjas, who managed to compete with BIG Academy and even won one victory over the Germans. In addition, the composition of the team cannot be called inexperienced, since now the guys who have managed to try their luck at the adult level are playing there.

However, here we should not forget about Spirit Academy, which showed a confident game in the group stage, stopping three points behind the first line. Yes, the “dragons” did not succeed, but in sections the guys looked better than ever.

Well, OG Academy can be considered a clear outsider. The team has won just two victories in the group stage, if you ignore the Young Gods. As a result, the youth roster of OG did not show anything interesting, but by chance, it still found its place in the Play-In, where, as it seems, it will quickly resign.

WePlay Academy League Season 5 runs from July 25 to August 14 online. As part of the championship, fourteen youth teams from Europe, the CIS, Turkey and South America compete for a prize pool of $100,000.
