fnatic Rising beat BIG Academy 2-0 and made it to the WePlay Academy League Season 5 grand finals. Now the European team will get extra time to rest in order to better prepare for their opponent in the championship finals. In turn, BIG Academy will go to the finals of the lower bracket, where they will meet again with the Spirit Academy team.

The duel between fnatic Rising and BIG Academy started on the Mirage map, which became the choice of the German team. However, fnatic Rising's players immediately seized the initiative on the server, closing the first half with a two-fold advantage. After the side switch, BIG Academy tried to return to the game, but in vain. As a result, SheddaN's wards put the squeeze on their opponent and took the lead in the series — 16:11.

The teams then moved onto the Vertigo map, which began with a disastrous defense by the BIG Academy players. Of course, after the change of sides, the German team failed to return to the game, thus allowing fnatic Rising to reach the grand final of the championship — 16:10.

Note that in the match earlier, the Spirit Academy team beat Astralis Talent with a score of 2:0. Now the "dragons" will meet with BIG Academy, playing for a ticket to the grand finals of WePlay Academy League Season 5.

WePlay Academy League Season 5 runs from July 25 to August 14 online. As part of the championship, fourteen youth teams from Europe, the CIS, Turkey and South America compete for a total prize pool of $100,000.
