According to the Dexerto portal, the European esports organization G2 Esports has decided on the CS:GO roster for the second half of the season, announcing HooXi and jks for the upcoming BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2022. The club managed to submit an official application for participation in the championship, thereby rounding off all the rumors about the future of the composition.

The Danish captain has been registered as a starter for the tournament and is set to take over from Aleksib, who has been given permission to explore options after just six months with the team.

HooXi spent the last year with Copenhagen Flames, with whom he became the winner of BLAST Rising 2021, Malta Vibes Knockout Series #4, Pelaajat.com Nordic Masters: Spring 2022 and PGL Major Antwerp 2022: European RMR B, and also got into the TOP-3 at BLAST Nordic Masters: Fall 2021, Funspark ULTI 2021: Europe Season 3, Elisa Invitational Winter 2021 and Pinnacle Winter Series #3, among others.

However, after a quarter-final run at PGL Major Antwerp 2022, the organization decided to sell off its assets without finding a new home for its captain. Interestingly, the Danish player was interested in Evil Geniuses, who were actively looking for a new captain. However, the North American club has opted for neaLaN, who is due to join the team in the coming days.

At the same time, it was previously reported that the G2 Esports organization closed the deal to acquire jks from Complexity Gaming. The 26-year-old Australian spent the first half of the season outside the competitive scene, even though he managed to win Intel Extreme Masters XVI - Katowice as part of FaZe Clan, where he replaced rain.

It is unclear if G2 Esports plans to look for a new coach, as early information suggested that the organization wanted to sign a captain and head coach for BIG. However, after the German duo denied all the rumors, deciding to remain in their team.

The next championship for the European team will be BLAST Premier: Fall Groups 2022, which will be held from August 19 to 28. Then the team will start its journey within the group stage of ESL Pro League Season 16.

The possible composition of G2 Esports in the CS:GO discipline is as follows:
