FaZe Clan beat Team Spirit and reached the playoffs of IEM Cologne 2022
The FaZe Clan team outplayed Team Spirit with a score of 2:0 and advanced to the playoffs of IEM Cologne 2022. Now RobbaN's wards will meet with the Danes from Astralis to compete directly for reaching the semi-finals of the competition. In turn, Team Spirit fell into the lower bracket of group B, where they will play with FURIA for the right to continue their performance in the championship.
The second semi-final of the upper bracket started on the Ancient map, which became the choice of the Russian team. At the same time, the first half was marked by a fairly equal struggle, since the “dragons” managed to impose their pace in attack and went for a short break with the score 6:9. However, after switching sides, FaZe Clan showed their attack, which shocked the opponent. As a result, the Russian team was no longer able to oppose anything on the server, allowing FaZe Clan to take the lead in the series — 16:10.
Next, the teams moved to the Nuke map, which became the choice of FaZe Clan. Now Team Spirit managed to seize the initiative, finishing the half in defense with a twofold advantage. It seemed that after winning the pistol round, the Russian team would easily close the map in their favor. However, FaZe Clan first won the force round, and then confidently leveled the gap and took the lead, finally defeating the opponent. As a result, the wards of RobbaN got a difficult victory and made it to the playoffs of IEM Cologne 2022 — 16:13.
