nafany: "Except for the terrible Major, my team has good results"

nafany, who is the captain of Cloud9, shared his thoughts on the team's prospects at the current IEM Cologne 2022. During a conversation with reporters, the 21-year-old esportsman said that he considers his team a contender for victory in the championship, despite the opposite opinion from the community.

I believe that Cloud9 always claims titles, but some people think otherwise. They single out NAVI and FaZe as favorites and only after that they can say: "Okay, maybe Cloud9 has a chance too. Maybe she can win." Now, after our victory at IEM Dallas 2022, many people note that that tournament took place right after the Major. We don't really care. With the exception of the terrible major, my team has good results. In Cologne we just try to show our game and don't think about what happens if we fail. It's good that this time we were lucky with the group, because earlier we often fell into death groups.

This is the last tournament of the season. Some of the players are tired due to the fact that the current year is getting a little chaotic. A lot has happened. Some players are under stress, everyone is very tired and, for example, FaZe Clan is not in the best shape right now. Many leaders of the professional scene are not at the highest level of their skill right now.

Recall that Cloud9 started with a victory at IEM Cologne 2022, beating the Outsiders with a score of 2:0. In the next round of the competition, the Russian team will meet the winner of the FURIA-Astralis pair.

IEM Cologne 2022 takes place from 5 to 17 July in Germany at the Hyatt Regency Cologne and LANXESS arena venues. As part of the championship, 24 teams from Europe, the CIS, Oceania, China, North and South America are fighting for a prize pool of $1,000,000, as well as rating points in the BLAST Premier table.
