At the same time, the Spaniards showed a rather vigorous attack, having managed to seize the initiative and close the half with a score of 9:6. After the change of sides, G2 Esports still tried to return the intrigue, but the "owners" did not let go. As a result, Movistar Riders confidently played the cards in the end, thanks to which they took the lead in the series — 16:13.
Next, the teams moved to the Inferno map, which turned out to be the choice of G2 Esports. Once again, the Spanish team showed a good first half, once again gaining three rounds of advantage. However, this time the switch of sides didn't help NiKo and the company to wake up, while Movistar Riders continued to bend their line and go forward. As a result, the Spanish team managed to get a sensational victory and reach the semi-finals of the IEM Cologne 2022 group stage — 16:9.
It should be noted that in the next round of the championship, the Spanish team will play with the winner of the match ENCE — Vitality. In case of another victory, Movistar Riders will make it to the playoffs of the competition.
