k1to will play for BIG at IEM Cologne 2022

The German esports organization BIG has announced changes to the starting roster for the upcoming IEM Cologne 2022, as a result of which k1to will play in the championship instead of faveN. It is reported that the 22-year-old German esportsman continues his treatment, which is why he will not be able to help his team at the home championship.

Update: Since faveN is still in recovery, we will play k1to at IEM Cologne 2022.

This is not the first time in the past month that k1to has returned to the main team. Back at the Pinnacle Cup Championship 2022, he replaced Krimbo, and after that, the gob b coach. In addition, the 23-year-old player recently won the Roobet Cup 2022 together with the team, where he replaced faveN.

The German team will start their journey at the tournament from the Play-In stage, where in the first round they will play with the Australians from ORDER.

Eight teams will make their way from the Play-In stage to the group stage (four from the upper bracket and four from the lower bracket). Eight teams will definitely play in the group stage of IEM Cologne 2022: FaZe Clan, Natus Vincere, G2 Esports, FURIA Esports, Cloud9, ENCE, Ninjas in Pajamas and Team Liquid.

IEM Cologne 2022 will be held from 5 to 17 July in Germany at the Lanxess-Arena. The championship will feature 24 teams from Europe, the CIS, Oceania, China, North and South America, who will play for a prize pool of $1,000,000, as well as rating points for the BLAST Premier table.
