Teams NiP and Mouz outplayed Movistar Riders (2:0) and Entropiq (2:0), becoming the last participants in the group stage of IEM Katowice 2022. At the same time, Movistar Riders and Entropiq left the championship, earning $4,500 each.

NIP - Movistar Riders

The fight started on the Vertigo map, which became the choice of the Spanish team. Despite a confident start, closer to the changeover, NIP managed to let Movistar Riders in, recording a minimal gap. In the second half, the Spaniards won the pistol round, but, having lost the round in response, they lost the economy and allowed NIP to run ahead, and at the same time snatch the victory - 16:9.

Everything was decided on the Overpass map, which became the NIP choice. Here Movistar Riders still struggled defensively, finishing the first half with a double lead. However, after the change of sides, the Swedish team finally seized the initiative in order to resolve all issues and knock Movistar Riders out of the tournament — 16:6.

MOUZ-Entropiq

The parallel meeting also kicked off on the Vertigo map, chosen by MOUZ. At the same time, the “hosts” started off briskly in the attack, having managed to finish the half with a two-fold advantage over the opponent. However, after the side switch, Entropiq began to gain momentum, quickly catching up with MOUZ. At some point, it seemed that the Russian team would snatch victory; but a series of mistakes allowed MOUZ to seize the initiative and take the lead in the series - 16:14.

Everything was decided on the map Ancient, which became the choice of the Russian team. At the same time, the first half again ended with the overwhelming advantage of MOUZ, which did not allow Entropiq to open up in the attack. It seemed that after the change of sides, the “hosts” would begin to recruit; but after winning the pistol round, Entropiq finally gave up. At the same time, MOUZ unleashed an attack to confidently close the series and enter the group stage of IEM Katowice 2022 — 16:6.
