Renegades and MIBR left IEM Katowice 2022 Play-In

The Renegades and MIBR teams lost to Entropiq (0:2) and Movistar Riders (0:2), thanks to which they left the IEM Katowice 2022 Play-In. At the same time, Entropiq and Movistar Riders went to the second round of the lower bracket, where they will play with MOUZ and NIP, respectively.

Entropiq-Renegades

This meeting started on the Nuke map, which became the choice of the Australian team. However, the Renegades players regretted their choice pretty quickly, as they couldn't come up with anything offensively. At the same time, Entropiq showed a confident defense, closing the first half with a score of 12:3. After the side switchover, the Russian team quickly completed what they started, having scored a confident victory at the opponent's pick — 16:6.

Then the teams moved to the Ancient map, which became Entropiq's choice. At the same time, the Australians, having won the starting series of rounds, quickly let Entropiq down, and then allowed the hosts to get a twofold advantage before switching sides. In the second half, Renegades couldn't come up with anything, finally resigned to their fate - 16:5.

MIBR-Movistar Riders

The parallel meeting started on the map Ancient, which became the choice of the Brazilian team. However, Movistar Riders played an exemplary half on defense, actually resolving all issues before the break — 13:2. In the second half, MIBR players tried to wake up. Nevertheless, the Spaniards had enough advantage earned in the first half to secure a confident victory at the opponent's peak and take the lead in the series - 16:10.

Everything was decided on the map Inferno, which became the choice of the Spanish team. At the same time, the first half ended with a promising result for MIBR, which managed to impose a struggle on defense. However, after the change of sides, the Spaniards quickly restored the status quo, allowing the Brazilians to win only one round in attack - 16:8.
