Teams BIG and GODSENT lost to fnatic (1:2) and ENCE (1:2) respectively, due to which they left IEM Katowice 2022 Play-In. At the same time, the teams fnatic and ENCE proceeded to the group stage of the championship, which will start tomorrow, February 17th.

fnatic-BIG

An intriguing encounter kicked off on fnatic's Ancient map of choice. At the same time, BIG quickly seized the initiative on the server, finishing the first half with a devastating score of 12:3. It seemed that the German team decided all the issues in advance. However, fnatic did not agree with this scenario, making a strong comeback, thereby transferring the fate of the map to overtime. Here ALEX and the company finally changed the fate of the meeting and took the lead in the series — 19:17.

Next, the teams moved to the Vertigo map, which was chosen by BIG. At the same time, the “hosts” started again confidently, finishing the first half with a two-fold advantage. After the side switching, fnatic started catching up again, at some point risking to repeat the fate of the first map. However, BIG managed to join in the end to equalize the score and go to the dead side — 16:13.

Everything was decided on the Overpass map, where fnatic immediately seized the advantage, converting which the team actually resolved all issues even before the side switch — 13:2. It seemed that in the second half, BIG would be able to return to the game. However, fnatic had enough advantage to say goodbye to the German team and send it home — 16:8.

ENCE-GODSENT

The parallel meeting started on the map Nuke, which became the choice of ENCE. At the same time, the “hosts” gave a confident start in attack, finishing the half with a score of 11:4. After the change of sides, ENCE quickly closed all questions, recording a confident victory - 16:5.

Then the teams moved to the Ancient map. Here the game developed in an equal manner, since none of the teams had an advantage. Nevertheless, the Brazilians managed to transfer the map to overtime, and then scratch out a victory at their own peak - 22:19.

Everything was decided on the Mirage map, which again went in an equal manner. At the same time, GODSENT started unprepossessing for the attack, managed to return in the end, securing a minimal advantage over the opponent. However, ENCE, having lost the initial series of rounds, quickly restored their economy, and at the same time overtook the Brazilians, sending them from IEM Katowice 2022 Play-In — 16:11.
