Virtus.pro recognized their rivals in the group stage of ESL Challenger February 2022

ESL has presented the results of the group stage draw for ESL Challenger February 2022. According to its results, the Russian team Virtus.pro will play in the same group with 9z, Dignitas and Movistar Riders.

The championship cannot boast of a solid list of participants, as many teams are currently preparing for IEM Katowice 2022. However, Virtus.pro accepted the invitation from the organizers, as a result of which they got into group A along with 9z, Dignitas and Movistar Riders.

In the second quartet, the undoubted favorite will be the Brazilian team FURIA, who also decided to test their strength before the start of the championship in Poland. Together with the eminent team, Complexity, HEET and ORDER will perform in the group.

Recall that ESL Challenger February 2022 was planned to be held in a LAN format. The venue for the championship was to be the American city of Anaheim. However, due to the spread of a new strain of coronavirus, the organizers had to move the tournament online.

Group A: Virtus.pro, 9z, Dignitas and Movistar Riders.

Group B: FURIA, Complexity, HEET and ORDER.

ESL Challenger February 2022 prize pool distribution:

  • 1st place: $50,000 + 100 EPT points + seat at EPL Conference S16.
  • 2nd Place: $20,000 + 60 EPT Points
  • 3rd-4th place: $10,000 + 40 EPT points.
  • 5th-6th place: $3,000 + 20 EPT points.
  • 7th-8th place: $2,000.

ESL Challenger February 2022 will be held online from 11 to 13 February. Eight teams will compete for a prize pool of $100,000, as well as ESL Pro Tour rating points.
