Preparing for the debut of NAVI at BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022

In a few hours, the battles within Group B at BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022 will begin. Three teams are among the debutants of the season at once: NaVi, OG and MIBR. Well, Astralis clearly intends to rehabilitate itself after an unsuccessful start to the season as part of the Funspark ULTI 2021 Finals.

The teams NAVI and MIBR will open the second quartet. If the "Born to Win" entered the new season on the first line of the world ranking without undergoing any changes, then the Brazilian team will play without chelo, who fell ill with the coronavirus and stayed in Brazil. His place will be taken by brnz4n from the youth squad, who is already in Germany with the rest of the team.

Following them, Astralis and OG will start their way in the tournament. As we said, the Danish team is eager to improve after the 5th-6th place in the last championship. However, OG made some changes in the off-season, bringing in nexa to captain. It is likely that the Serbian esportsman will want to show the result as soon as possible. But whether the team will be able to support him: the question remains open.

Recall that all matches of the BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022 group stage will be held in the BO1 format. The winners of the starting matches go to the final of the upper bracket, from where the winner will proceed to the grand final of the quartet. In turn, the teams that lose their debut matches go to the lower bracket, where with each subsequent defeat they will form the seeding for the Play-In stage.

Group A results:

  • 1st place: G2 Esports - 3 wins.
  • 2nd place: NIP - 2 wins and 1 loss.
  • 3rd place: BIG - 1 win and 2 losses.
  • 4th place: Complexity - 2 losses.
