The first of three groups at BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022 has ended, following which G2 Esports won three victories and advanced to the finals of the Play‑In stage. We offer to recall the main points of the group stage and tell about the further fate of the teams in the next stage of the championship.

Let's start with the leader, since G2 Esports showed three confident games, absolutely deservedly taking the first place in group A. At the same time, in the first match, despite the updated roster, G2 Esports dealt with Complexity on Nuke without any problems (16:12) and passed to the upper bracket final. Here the team outplayed NiP on the Inferno map (16:6) with much less effort, thanks to which they made it to the grand final of the quartet. In the decisive match, G2 Esports defeated NIP again, but this time on the Mirage map (19:16).

Next in line is the Swedish team NIP. On the one hand, the team played two solid games against BIG, winning on Overpass (16:12) and Nuke (16:9). On the other hand, NIP failed to control her nerves twice and lost to G2 Esports, showing a very mediocre game on Inferno (6:16), and then on Mirage (16:19).

The third place went to the BIG team, which had an ambiguous game against NIP on the Overpass map (12:16). However, the German team later rehabilitated itself by beating Complexity on Nuke (16:10). And yet, in the replay against NIP, the team again failed to reach their potential, losing this time on the Nuke map (9:16).

The main loser of group A was the Complexity team, which first lost to G2 Esports (12:16), and then failed to cope with BIG (10:16). According to the results, the North American team is on the fourth line of its quartet, predetermining its seeding in the Play-In stage.

In the next stage of the championship, the BIG team will meet with the team that took 4th place in group C. In turn, Complexity will play with the team ranked 3rd in group B. Well, NIP and G2 Esports will start their journey from the semi-final stage and Grand Final respectively.
