G2 Esports and NiP got their first wins at BLAST Premier Spring Groups 2022. In the debut matches of the championship, the teams outplayed Complexity (16:12) and BIG (16:12), respectively. Now G2 Esports and NIP will compete for the right to reach the grand final of group A, while Complexity and BIG will compete for the 4th line in their quartet.

G2 Esports

The starting meeting of the entire championship took place on the Nuke map. At the same time, at the start of the meeting, both teams made mistakes until the G2 Esports players took their word, turning the first half in their favor — 9:6. After the change of sides, the European team continued to dominate, gradually increasing the lead. At the very end, Complexity only managed to close the gap in the score, which still did not cause problems for G2 Esports, which easily closed the series and broke into the leaders of Group A - 16:12.

Let's note a good debut for m0NESY. The 16-year-old G2 Esports sniper made 19 frags on the map, finishing the game with a rating of 1.18.

NIP-BIG

The second series of the game day between NIP and BIG took place on the Overpass map. At the same time, the German team gave a peppy start to the attack, making a solid lead. However, closer to the switchover, NIP players managed to bring back the intrigue by getting a feel for the opponent's style and reducing the gap to one round. After the side switching, the Swedes continued to break the pace, quickly taking the lead. At some point, BIG had the opportunity to bounce back, but a series of mistakes did not allow the team to return to the game, allowing the Swedish team to get their first victory in the new season — 16:12.
