Gambit reached the semi-finals of PGL Major Stockholm 2021

The Gambit team reached the semi-finals of PGL Major Stockholm 2021, beating the Brazilian team FURIA with a score of 2: 0. In the semifinals of the championship, the Russian team will meet with the winner of the NAVI - Vitality pair.

The first quarterfinal of the game day started on the Inferno map, which, as expected, became the choice of the Brazilian team. However, Gambit quickly seized the initiative, securing a comfortable advantage after playing defensively. The second half remained with the Russian team, which at some point could easily close the opponent and take the lead. But one unsuccessful round allowed FURIA to regain self-confidence, and at the same time make it to overtime. And yet Gambit was adamant, taking the opponent's peak at 19:17.

Then the teams got to the Overpass map. At the same time, the teams showed several series of won rounds, which allowed Gambit to get a minimal advantage over the side switching. The second half began with the advantage of the Brazilian team, which responded with a good force-round and took over the economy. Nevertheless, Gambit managed to turn on in order to put the squeeze on the opponent and reach the semi-finals of PGL Major Stockholm 2021 - 16:10.

PGL Major Stockholm 2021 runs from October 26 to November 7 in Sweden. 24 teams are competing for a prize pool of $ 2,000,000, as well as BLAST Premier and ESL Pro Tour points. The championship playoffs will take place at the Avicii Arena with spectators, while the early stages of the championship take place in a studio format.
