Liquid defeated Virtus.pro at BLAST Premier Fall Showdown 2021 and advanced to the semi-finals of the championship. Now the team will meet with MAD Lions, having competed for the right to go to BLAST Premier Fall Final 2021.

The quarterfinal match against Virtus.pro began on the Inferno map. Here the North Americans quickly seized the initiative, gaining a two-fold advantage over the side switching. However, in the second half, Jame and the company made an attempt to make a comeback, which the team almost succeeded. Nevertheless, the decisive round of the map remained with the Liquid team, which escaped overtime - 16:14.

Next, the teams moved to Vertigo, where the first half went to Virtus.pro. However, here, in contrast to the first map, Liquid failed to impose a fight after the changeover, thereby capitulating to the rival at its own choice - 9:16.

In the end, everything was decided on the Overpass map, where the starting segment went entirely to the North American team. And if it hadn't been for the failed ending in defense, Liquid could have executed the rout. But a small comeback, coupled with a solid start after the side change, allowed VP to take the lead. Here Liquid gathered strength to prevent defeat, and at the same time to snatch victory from the opponent's hands - 16:12.

After this defeat Virtus.pro took 5th-8th place, earning $ 10,000.
