The second game day within IEM Fall 2021 CIS has come to an end, which means that it's time to sum up and get acquainted with the tournament layouts before the fifth round. Note that at the end of the second day, forZe, K23, AVE, Team Unique and Akuma were already out of the competition.

Group A

As expected, the NAVI team broke into the leaders of the group, which will not be prevented by anything from reaching the playoffs. The fact is that ESL canceled the rule for calculating the difference between rounds, leaving only face-to-face matches decisive. As a result, NAVI, which beat Entropiq and Akuma on the second game day, thereby gaining 12 points, is guaranteed to advance to the playoffs.

Slightly worse is the situation with Spirit, which, unexpectedly for many, lost to Entropiq in the fourth round, thus making life difficult for itself. Fortunately, the team will definitely go to PGL Major Stockholm 2021, given the failures of the opponents in Group B. Now, in order to reach the playoffs, Spirit needs blood from his nose to defeat NAVI in the final round.

Interestingly, Entropiq may still be left out of the TOP-3 Group A, given the updated rules. Fortunately, in the final round, the team plays with a direct competitor for a place in the top three - the Nemiga team. Moreover, a certain alignment, namely the victory over the Belarusians and the defeat of Spirit, will automatically give Entropiq a place in the playoffs, and at the same time the opportunity to qualify for PGL Major Stockholm 2021.

With Nemiga, the situation is much more complicated, since only on the second day the team got into the fight, beating Akuma and AVE. However, the fate of the Belarusian team will be decided in the fifth round, where lollipop21k and the company will have to fight for the third place with Entropiq.

With AVE and Akuma, everything is much simpler - both teams will definitely leave the championship, having contested three points in the final round.

Group A standings

A place Command Result Round difference Points
1 NAVI 4-0 +16 12
2 Entropiq 3-1 +9 nine
3 Spirit 3-1 +32 nine
4 Nemiga 2-2 -5 6
5 AVE 0-4 -22 0
6 Akuma 0-4 -thirty 0

Group B

In the second group, the situation is a little more interesting from the point of view of the main sensations. One of them is a possible entry into the playoffs of INDE IRAE, which beat Unique and Virtus.pro, respectively, in the third and fourth rounds, wedging into the race for the prizes. Interestingly, in certain situations, the Russian team can get to PGL Major Stockholm 2021. But for that INDE IRAE needs to at least win IEM Fall 2021 CIS.

Another leader of the group is the Gambit team, which, having started the game day with a defeat to Virtus.pro, nevertheless found their points thanks to a victory over forZe. At the same time, the team has already definitely guaranteed a trip to PGL Major Stockholm 2021, until the issue of reaching the playoffs has been resolved.

The third leader of Group B is Virtus.pro, which will face forZe. If the team wins, it will retain the chances of getting into the playoffs of the championship. However, the final word will still remain with Gambit and INDE IRAE, which, in case of victories, can discard an unwanted opponent from the accounts.

Well, forZe, K23 and Team Unique have definitely left the championship, having reserved the right to upset one of the favorites in the final round.

Group B standings

A place Command Result Round difference Points
1 Gambit 3-1 +7 nine
1 INDE IRAE 3-1 +6 nine
1 Virtus.pro 3-1 +15 nine
4 forZe 1-3 -nine 3
