Review of the second part of the Battle Pass 2022: new Diretide, fresh Immortal items, CM persona and more

On November 3, the second part of the Battle Pass was released in Dota 2 . The main content contributor to Dota 2 has brought a lot of innovations to the game: a new Diretide, fresh Immortal items, taunts, a CM persona, an announcer and much more.

We have decided to streamline all the content that appeared in Dota 2 with the release of the Winter Battle Pass 2022. We have collected all the novelties of the updated compendium in one place.

New Game Mode - Diretide 2022 and Treasure Shop

Perhaps the main update of the Dota 2 Winter Battle Pass was the release of the long-awaited Diretide 2022 event.

You can make good money predicting Roshan's behavior, because everyone wants to know his habits: from cunning thugs to mighty heroes and royal nobility. But this time, even the monster itself is not ready for what his (almost) annual hunger for sweets has in store for him, namely, head over heels into frosty innovations! So prepare your candy buckets, stock up on warm mittens and sharpen your favorite knives. In Singapore, the champions of The International have already been determined, which means you are waiting for a new devastating season of the Rise of Darkness.

This time the event will last from November 3 to January 12. The rules of the mode are quite simple:

• Players fight in 5v5 teams, collecting candies and filling enemy wells with them. Each team has 4 wells
• Once every few minutes, Roshan appears on the map, who goes to destroy the well with the largest number of commands entered:
• The team that has full wells left by the end of the game wins.

For playing Diretide 2022, players will receive candy, which can later be exchanged at the local “souvenir shop”. Moreover, items can be crafted with your own hands, scrolling through unnecessary ones in an attempt to find valuable trophies: arcana, battle pass points and immortal chests.

Also, the candies needed for rerolling and buying items are given for rolling the Battle Pass.

Persona on Crystal Maiden – Counduit of the Blueheart on Crystal Maiden

The main cosmetic update was the Crystal Maiden persona, Counduit of the Blueheart on Crystal Maiden. She changes the heroine's model to a snow wolf.

Persona on CM, in addition to the character model, changes ability icons, cast animations, and voice acting.

It is unlocked by all players who level up the Battle Pass to 148.

Second Immortal Treasure

Another cosmetic addition is the second immortal treasure. Inside the chest, according to the classics, there are 9 immortal items: 4 regular rarity, 1 rare, 2 very rare and 1 incredibly rare.

All items change the abilities of the characters. So, for example, Broodmother will get an updated grid, Necrophos will get an animated belt, and Queen of Pain will get the Scream of Pain ability and the ability to dance the can-can. Yes, this is not a joke.

In addition, there is a chance to get The International 2022 emblem in the chest. The chance of dropping a unique item is extremely low.

Announcer Cave Johnson from Portal 2

Dota 2 has a new announcer - Cave Johnson from Portal 2 voiced by J.K. Simmons, presented in the final days of The International 2022.

Announcer is available as both an announcer slot and a mega-kill announcer slot.

New taunts and loading screen

The second part of the Battle Pass didn't forget about the fun content either. There are 5 new taunts in the game, available as you progress through the rewards feed in the Battle Pass:

• Elder Titan - level 39;
• Primal Beast - 91 levels;
• Underlord - 181 levels;
• Dark Seer - 353 level;
• Outworld Destroyer - Level 531.

In addition, new loading screens have been added to Dota 2 with the release of the Winter Battle Pass 2022. This time they are dedicated to two significant events in the world of Dota 2: Rise of Darkness and Hostility.
