Riot Games has officially announced the release date of its new collectible card game Riftbound, inspired by the League of Legends universe. The English-language version, titled Riftbound: Origins, will go on sale starting October 31, 2025.

The initial launch of Riftbound will cover the following regions: North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America, and Oceania. Players in these areas will be able to purchase the game at their local hobby and game stores. In addition, starting August 4, limited pre-orders will open in the official Riot Games Merch Store — the page will become active on the day pre-orders go live.

For players in Asia and other regions not included in the initial English-language release, Riot is considering expanding product availability and language support in 2026.

Riftbound: Origins — Product Lineup

  • Polygon — a starter set designed for 2–4 players, featuring decks for Annie, Garen, Lux, and Master Yi.
  • Champion Decks — ready-to-play decks starring Jinx, Viktor, and Lee Sin.
  • Booster Packs — packs with 14 cards of varying rarities for enhancing existing decks or building new ones from scratch.
  • Booster Box — a box containing 24 booster packs for those looking to expand their collection quickly.
  • Accessories — playmats and card sleeves featuring champions such as Ahri, Jinx, Miss Fortune, and Volibear.

But this is just the beginning — Riftbound: Origins is the starter set, and Riot Games has plans to release expansions in the future. We’ll talk more about those a bit later.

How and Where to Pre-Order Riftbound?

Starting from August 4 at 7:00 PM EEST, a limited number of Riftbound: Origins products will be available for pre-order on the Riot Games Merch Store. A Riot ID will be required to complete the pre-order, and quantity limits will apply per Riot ID:

  • Riftbound: Booster Box -up to 2 units
  • Riftbound: Polygon - up to 3 units
  • Riftbound: Champion Deck - Jinx – up to 3 units
  • Riftbound: Champion Deck - Viktor – up to 3 units
  • Riftbound: Champion Deck - Lee Sin – up to 3 units

Additionally, on the same day, Riot will launch a store locator tool to help players find the nearest game store carrying Riftbound.

Will There Be Additional Print Runs?

Riot has confirmed that if demand is high, additional print runs will be produced. The company will closely monitor the situation and is prepared to expand distribution if necessary to ensure better product availability for players.

Riot Games has confirmed that launch events are on the way! Starting October 31, local game stores will begin hosting events to celebrate the release of Riftbound: Origins. Let’s get back to the sets — and there's good news. Riot has confirmed that the limited-edition Arcane-themed set, originally revealed at the TFT Macao Open, will soon be available in English. This special set will be updated to match the current Riftbound: Origins card design and tailored to fit seamlessly into the game’s launch lineup. It will retain the signature style and atmosphere of the Arcane series, including iconic characters and visual elements inspired by the show.

Pre-orders for the Arcane set are expected to open in late August, with more details on the release date and contents to be announced closer to launch. It’s a perfect opportunity for collectors and fans of the series to get their hands on a truly unique product.

What’s Next for Riftbound?

Up ahead, players can look forward to a special release — the limited-edition Riftbound x Worlds set, scheduled to launch around the game’s anniversary and in celebration of the League of Legends World Championship. This set is being designed as a tribute to the most iconic moments in Worlds history and will be a true collector’s piece for fans of the LoL esports scene.
