Guide to Visage 7.31
Shadows_OnainThe hero is extremely unpopular, according to statistics, so one of the developers' tasks in patch 7.31 was to increase the hero's pick rate. They did not cope with the task, but the percentage of victories was increased for him. At the moment, his win rate is53%on average at all ranks.
The hero is also relevant and fits into the new meta, which is more focused on early aggression and teamfights.
pros and cons of a hero
Pros:
- Due to the summoned familiars Summon Familiars Visage can deal good total damage
- With the help of gargoyles, you can scout the territory well and constantly keep the enemy at bay.
- Does not lose its relevance at a later stage of the game
Minuses:
- A very difficult hero to master. The player will need micro control skills and a general understanding of the mechanics of the game.
- Familiars are capable of dealing high damage only at the very beginning of the battle.
- Low initial armor and movement speed.
Description of abilities
Grave Chill
Steals the target's movement and attack speed, adding these stats to himself and the gargoyles.
- That is, Visage's movement speed is increased by 17%/23%/29%/35% when the target's speed is reduced by 17%/23%/29%/35%; each stat is based on its own movement speed.
- The same applies to attack speed. Visage's attack speed is increased by 34/46/58/70 when the target's attack speed is reduced by 34/46/58/70.
- Grave Chill also buffs Gargoyles within 1200 radius of Visage. The Gargoyle buff is not an aura. It is given as a separate buff for each gargoyle.
- That is, after applying the gargoyles can move away from Visage and at the same time retain the buff.
- Also, when dispelling the Visage buff, it does not disappear from gargoyles, but it can be dispelled from them individually.
- Gives the buff to invulnerable units, so Stone Form Gargoyles also get it.
Soul Assumption
The ability gains a charge each time the damage dealt to nearby heroes exceeds 100. Deals damage based on the number of charges to the selected target.
- The projectile flies at a speed of 1000.
- Every time the heroes take damage, it persists for 6 seconds. or before using the ability. When the total amount of damage counted exceeds the threshold, a charge is added to the ability.
- It takes 6 seconds to get the maximum number of charges. fix 0.5 damage.
- Only counts damage dealt by players (including their summons) or Roshan.
- Only counts damage taken by heroes (excluding illusions and creep-heroes).
- Does not include damage done to self, damage less than 2, or greater than 3000 (after reductions).
- The current number of charges is displayed as yellow bars above the Visage. They are only visible to Visage and his allies.
- The visual design of the projectile also displays the number of charges, revealing the approximate amount of damage dealt.
- When using Soul Assumption, its damage is fixed, and the charges are considered spent when the projectile is launched.
Gravekeeper's Cloak
The hero creates a layered protective barrier on himself. If the hero takes damage from the player, one layer disappears and respawns after a certain amount of time.
- Damage Reduction reduces damage from all three types of damage, with the exception of damage marked as HP Removal.
- Only reacts to a source of damage greater than 80% (after all other reductions). Damage below this value is ignored by the ability.
- Only reacts to damage dealt by players, excluding damage dealt to self.
- Aghanim's Shard turns Gravekeeper's Cloak into an active ability that retains passive components.
Here's how much damage reduction each layer gives at each level:
- Level 1: 8%/16%/24%/32%/40%/48%/56%/64%/72%/80%
- Level 2: 12%/24%/36%/48%/60%/72%/80%
- Level 3: 16%/32%/48%/64%/80%
- Level 4: 20%/40%/60%/80%
Summon Familiars
Summons two blind gargoyles to fight for the hero. Gargoyles have the Stone Form ability, which allows them to turn into stone, stunning enemies upon landing. In stone form, gargoyles are invulnerable and quickly regenerate health. For killing gargoyles, the enemy receives a significant reward.
Number of Gargoyles: 2
- When cast, Summon Familiars will interrupt Visage's casting spells.
- Using the ability replaces existing gargoyles with newly summoned ones.
- Gargoyles are summoned 200 range in front of Visage with 120 range between them. Visage counts as the location center.
- Gargoyles do not activate or take damage from Proximity Mines.
- The Gargoyle's damage, health, and armor only refresh when resummoned, not when the ability levels up.
- The level of the Stone Form is only updated when it is re-summoned.
- Gargoyles are ancient creep-heroes, so some spells interact differently with them.
Silent as the Grave
Requires Aghanim's Scepter to unlock.
The hero and his gargoyles take off, become invisible and move 20% faster. When breaking invisibility with a spell or attack, the hero and gargoyles deal 30% more damage over 4 seconds. Duration 35 seconds.
- Only affects Visage and his gargoyles, not other controlled creatures.
- At the same time, the gargoyles do not have to be nearby - the ability works everywhere.
- Invisibility is lost if the cast animation ends or the attack hits an enemy. That is, invisibility is not lost when an attack misses.
- Visage can pick up, drop, and attack items without breaking stealth.
- Gives Visage pass-through movement, allowing movement everywhere. Gargoyles have this ability by default. Does not give the hero flying vision.
- Additional damage is given when the invisibility buff is lost in any way. The damage is also given by the invisibility buff itself, so the first attack from it will take into account the bonus.
- Only increases the base damage and damage given by the primary attribute of affected creatures. Additional damage is not increased.

Gameplay
Visage is weak up to level 6 and in the lane you almost always have to endure. The main thing is to try to finish off as many creeps as possible and not sag too much in terms of farm. Starting from level 6, the hero has a lot of damage that can be realized. Visage is good because, in principle, it is not very dependent on mana and ganks can suit you very often.
If the teams start to get together and arrange some kind of battles, then this is even good for Visage. After all, now we will definitely be able to deal maximum damage with Soul Assumption, and gargoyles will be able to stun several enemies at once. During any team fight, don't rush to get ahead, and especially don't send the birds forward, as they can die incredibly quickly.
