CS:GO crosshair codes & setting with console commands

The console in CS:GO gives a player more flexible settings for the CS:GO crosshair. Basic setting of the crosshair are in the menu of game settings (colour and style). However, they are limited and these settings are mainly used by beginners. Professional players usually use the whole pull of the console commands for crosshair setting.

How to Change Colour and Style of the Crosshair (codes)

Style

• cl_crosshairstyle 0 - default dynamic CS:GO crosshair
• cl_crosshairstyle 1 - default static crosshair
• cl_crosshairstyle 2 - classical;
• cl_crosshairstyle 3 - classical crosshair (dynamic)
• cl_crosshairstyle 4 - classical crosshair (static).

Changing of the Crosshair Colour

• cl_crosshaircolor 0 - red
• cl_crosshaircolor 1 - green
• cl_crosshaircolor 2 - yellow
• cl_crosshaircolor 3 - blue
• cl_crosshaircolor 4 - sky blue
• cl_crosshaircolor 5 - makes it possible to set any colour that is regulated by the commands below.

Commands that change the colour of the CS:GO crosshair manually:

• cl_crosshaircolor_r (0 - 255) - setting of the red tone
• cl_crosshaircolor_g (0 - 255) - setting of the green tone
• cl_crosshaircolor_b (0 - 255) - setting of the blue tone

Dot in the Center of the CS:GO Crosshair

The following commands can turn on/off the dot in the center of the crosshair.

• cl_crosshairdot 1 - turn on the dot in the center of the crosshair
• cl_crosshairdot 0 - turn off the dot in the center of the crosshair

How to Change the Transparency of the Crosshair

Most of players do not use this command as the transparent crosshair is difficult to see. So, why should we make the game more difficult? However, if you want to change transparency of the crosshair, you should check whether the function of its changing is on:

• cl_crosshairusealpha 1 - turning on the transparency mode;
• cl_crosshairusealpha 0 - turning off the transparency mode.

Setting the Transparency Level

• cl_crosshairalpha 0 - the crosshair is completely transparent (invisible)
• cl_crosshairalpha 127 - the CS:GO crosshair is semi-transparent
• cl_crosshairalpha 255 - the crosshair is nontransparent

How to Hide (Turn off) the CS:GO Crosshair

• crosshair 0 - the crosshair is not depicted
• crosshair 1 - the crosshair is depicted

The outlined crosshair may be seen easier when it blends with textural elements of the map.

How to Change the Size of the Crosshair

This command is used most often.

• cl_crosshairsize (0 - 10) - sets the size of the crosshair. 0 is the smallest size, 10 is the biggest one.

Gap Between the Lines of the Crosshair

Usually players try to choose the gap that makes it possible to put their opponent’s head in the average distance.

• cl_crosshairgap (-5 - 5) - sets distance between the lines of the crosshair.

Changing of the Thickness of the Crosshair Lines

You can choose the thickness of the crosshair with the help of the command cl_crosshairthickness.

• cl_crosshairthickness (0,1 - 6) - regulates thickness of the lines.
