Besides his impressive earnings at TI8 and TI9, Johan also enjoyed immense success when working with both OG and Team Secret before The International. He is one of the best-paid esports players with overall earnings of at least $6.8 million.

Jesse Vainikka

Finnish Dota 2 veteran Josse Vainikka has won several tournaments in his esports career. These wins have earned him enough to make him one of the world’s esports top earners. Before his retirement in January 2020, he played for a number of teams in the course of his carrier.

These include OG and Team Liquid. The 27-year old player made a total of about $6.7 million from esports.

Topias Taavitsainen

Here’s another top-earning Finnish professional Dota 2 player. Besides being one of the best-paid esports players, Topias Taavitsainen also takes pride in winning The International two times in a row.

The 21-year old player started playing Dota at the age of 8 and currently plays for OG. He boasts total earnings of at least $5.4 million. 

Amer Al-Barkawi

Amer Al-Barkawi, nicknamed Miracle, is a Jordan professional Dota 2 player. He has worked with some of the most powerful professional teams, including Team Liquid and Team OG.

Miracle’s biggest prize ever is about $2.1 million at the International 2017. He made at least $640,000 in 2018 and $29,000 in 2019. His overall earnings are at least $3.7 million.

Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf

Fortnite’s developer spent millions of dollars in organizing tournaments for the game. One of the players eventually outdid the others. That player is Kyle Giersdorf.

Kyle became one of the best esports players in 2019, thanks to his impressive performance in the Fortnite World Cup. He earned him a whopping $3 million from it. 

Kuro Takhasomi

Kuro Takhasomi, nicknamed KuroKy, is a German professional Dota 2 player. The 25-year-old plays for Team Liquid.

The player has a disability with his legs, which hinders his mobility. According to him, he got into gaming because of his disability. Kuro’s total earnings from esports are at least $5.1 million.
