Liquid and Fnatic Reach VCT 2021 Final: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers Finals

The semifinals of VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers Finals have ended. Despite the wildest expectations, the sensation did not happen, since the European teams easily won victories and reached the grand final of the championship.

The first meeting of the game day ended very quickly, as Liquid, having barely entered the server, declassified Oxygen on Haven with a score of 13: 0. Of course, the Turkish team was unable to recover from such a defeat, having managed to win only three rounds on the choice of an opponent. As a result, Liquid got a very beautiful, but such an easy victory with a score of 2: 0, reaching the grand final.

There was a little more intrigue in the evening match. However, Fnatic quite unexpectedly showed an excellent game on Icebox, taking the opponent's pick with a score of 13: 6. On the Bind map, the Russian team still tried to fight, showing themselves excellently in defense. However, after the switch-over, Fnatic was able to catch up and at the same time won their pick with a 13:11 score.

Tomorrow, on May 2, the grand final of the championship will take place. In it, Liquid will try to take revenge on Fnatic for their recent defeat at VCT 2021: Europe Stage 2 Challengers 2. Note that both finalists have already secured a place for themselves at VCT 2021: Stage 2 Masters - Reykjavík, which will be held from May 24 to 30 in the capital Iceland.
