4019The group stage of VCT 2021: EMEA Stage 2 Challengers Finals has come to an end. After a series of matches, four participants in the playoffs were determined. Oxygen and Gambit managed to make their way to Liquid and Fnatic, winning sensational victories over their opponents.
In the first match of the game day, Oxygen and Guild met. Many expected an easy victory for the Swedish team, but the reality turned out to be much more prosaic. Already on the first map, Oxygen seized the initiative, beating Ascent with a score of 13: 9. Guild, not wanting to give up the streak so easily, managed to regain the intrigue by taking the second card. However, on the decisive map, the Turkish team was once again out of reach, thanks to which they got a sensational victory.
In the evening, FunPlus Phoenix and Gambit players entered the server. Here, as in the previous match, the pre-start advantage was on the side of the European team. However, Gambit quickly made it clear that it intends to get even for the defeat on the first day of the championship. As a result, the Russian team managed to win two maps, creating another sensation.
Tomorrow, on May 1, the semifinal matches will take place. Liquid and Oxygen will be the first to start their journey, and in the evening we will watch the meeting between the teams Fnatic and Gambit.
