EMEA Stage 2 – Week 2: Results from Day 1 of the Group Stage (July 23, 2025)

The second week of the VCT EMEA Stage 2 Group Stage began on Wednesday, July 23, bringing high-stakes Valorant action. Two best-of-three series took place, featuring teams from both Group Omega and Group Alpha. Karmine Corp faced off against Apeks, while GIANTX clashed with BBL Esports — both matches ended in close 2–1 victories.

Apeks 1–2 Karmine Corp (Group Omega)

Karmine Corp secured their first win of the tournament, defeating Apeks 2–1 across Icebox, Sunset, and Lotus. Although the match was far from clean, KC showed resilience and managed to close out the series.

Top Performers:

• SUYGETSU (KC) stood out on Viper, finishing with an ACS of 1.76 and a KDA of 26/16/10, delivering an impressive all-around performance.
• Avez (KC) contributed with 14 kills and an ACS of 1.16.
• For Apeks, OLIZERA and penny made notable plays, but it wasn’t enough to clinch the win.

Despite the scoreline, Karmine Corp had to work hard to break through Apeks’ resistance, which showed promise even in defeat.

GIANTX 2–1 BBL Esports (Group Alpha)

In the second match of the day, GIANTX came out on top against BBL Esports, winning 2–1 in a tense series played on Icebox, Lotus, and Corrode. With this result, GIANTX moved to 2–0 in the group, sitting at the top of the standings.

Key Players:

• ara (GX) delivered a solid performance with 17 kills and a 1.22 ACS on Jett.
• westside followed closely behind with 16 kills and a K/D ratio of 1.54, while grubinho also contributed effectively.
• For BBL, sociablEE managed 21 kills and a 1.23 ACS, but it wasn’t enough to carry the team over the line.

GIANTX now lead Group Alpha with a strong map record and positive round differential, looking like a serious playoff contender.
