Fnatic and DRX delivered an intense best-of-three showdown at Valorant Champions 2025, with both teams trading blows across three maps. In the end, Fnatic proved more resilient, sealing the series 2-1 and advancing further in the tournament.

Map 1: Haven (Fnatic 13-11 DRX)

The opening map turned into a fierce contest. Fnatic’s attack looked sharp, taking 11 rounds before closing the game with disciplined defense. Alfajer stood out on Killjoy with 25 kills, while kaajak on Yoru constantly created space and won key duels. DRX’s defense nearly brought them back, but lapses in coordination at critical moments gave Fnatic the edge.

Map 2: Ascent (DRX 13-8 Fnatic)

DRX struck back on Ascent with a much more composed showing. Their coordinated attacks and solid holds on defense left Fnatic trailing throughout the map. Flashback and HYUNMIN led the charge, consistently applying pressure and dictating engagements. Fnatic found moments of resistance through Chronicle and Alfajer, but DRX’s control of the tempo proved decisive, evening the series 1-1.

Map 3: Lotus (Fnatic 13-5 DRX)

The decider was all Fnatic. From the very first rounds, they set the tone with aggressive plays and superior coordination. Alfajer once again shined, dominating both in frags and utility usage, finishing with 20 kills and a 326 ACS. DRX failed to mount any meaningful offense, with their rotations breaking down under Fnatic’s pressure. The European side closed out Lotus in commanding fashion, 13-5.

Fnatic showed strong mental fortitude, bouncing back after dropping Ascent and completely dominating the final map. Alfajer emerged as the standout performer of the series, especially on Haven and Lotus. DRX demonstrated potential with their controlled play on Ascent, but struggled to maintain balance between attack and defense across the series. Ultimately, Fnatic’s decisive victory on Lotus highlighted their superior teamwork and individual firepower.
