Johnta became the new Head Coach of ZETA DIVISION

Ivan “Johnta” Shevtsov officially became the new head coach of Japanese organization ZETA DIVISION.

Prior to that, Johnta coached another Japanese team FENNEL for about 2 years.

The ex-FENNEL line-up, which was almost entirely acquired by ZETA DIVISION performed very well in 2024. The team took 1st place at VALORANT Challengers 2024 Japan: Split 1 and 2nd place at Split 2.

ZETA DIVISION, in turn, is making massive changes to the roster. Hiroronn, Yuran and Laz left the team, replaced by the main core of ex-Fennel players.

The team has been performing rather mediocrely in recent years, finishing in the middle of regional VCTs, so signing all three promising players, including Johnta as a coach, should refresh the team and bring it back to competitiveness at the Japanese scene.

Also, before Johnta moved to VALORANT, he played professional Counter-Strike 1.6 for a long time as part of Hellraisers and DTS, and then also worked as a coach. He is most famous for his work in Flipsid3 Tactics together with markeloff and B1ad3.
