Cloud9, LOUD, FURIA, Sentinels and Leviatan all picked up victories at the VCT 2023 Long Cognega: Americas League

In the first round of the VALORANT Champions Tour 2023: Americas League regular season, Cloud9, LOUD, FURIA, Sentinels and Leviatan claimed their first wins to advance to the top of the standings. Thanks to these victories, they got closer to qualifying for the play-offs, as well as securing some unexpected results.

The Sentinels sensationally defeated the 100 Thieves (2-1) already on the first day of the competition. A change in roles really helped SyykoNT's charges, who managed to defeat one of the favourites of the event. Next up, the Brazilians from FURIA were able to outclass KRU Esports (2-0) to make a successful run at the tournament.

On the second match day, LOUD produced an expected 2-1 victory over their compatriots MIBR, while Cloud9 made a successful debut in their rejuvenated squad with a sensational 2-1 defeat of Evil Geniuses.

On the final day of the first round, the Chilean team Leviatan managed to cope with NRG (2-0), thereby catching up with the leaders in the standings.
