VALORANT Challengers 2023 North America Full Season Details Revealed

Knights Arena, the company responsible for hosting the VALORANT Challengers 2023 series in North America, has unveiled the competition roadmap for the entire next season. The new competitive year for North American TIER-2 teams will begin on January 9th with the open qualifiers kicking off. Then there will be a qualifying stage Last Chance, scheduled for January 17-22. VALORANT Challengers 2023: North America Split 1 itself will take place from February 1 to March 17.

Details of the selection process

VALORANT Challengers 2023 kicks off with two open qualifiers running from January 9-13 and January 17-22. Six places at VALORANT Challengers 2023: North America Split 1 will be up for grabs here.

The qualifiers will consist of two separate tournaments where the top four teams from Qualifier 1 and the top two teams from Qualifier 2 will join the final roster of invited teams for the 2023 season. The main stages of the qualifiers will be played in a single-elimination bracket, followed by a double-elimination bracket.

The organizers have announced that the first two weeks of VALORANT Challengers 2023 in North America will be played on the old patch 5.12.

VALORANT Challengers 2023 Format in North America

The league will feature twelve teams, six of which will receive direct invitations. These teams are likely to be G2 Esports, TSM, The Guard, M80 Esports, Oxygen Esports, and Shopify Rebellion. Their names are expected to be officially announced soon.

VALORANT Challengers 2023 will be split into two splits: the first will run from February 1 to March 17, and the second will run from April 18 to May 19.

Each split will split the twelve participants into two groups of six teams, and each team will play the other teams in their group in a weekly round robin. The second split will feature seeded groups based on points earned from the first split and the recently announced Mid-Season Invitational, and will award more points than the first split.

The top eight teams from VALORANT Challengers 2023: North America Split 1 will make it to the Mid-Season Invitational at the end of March, and each of them will have the opportunity to earn more points in the regional Challengers table. The top eight teams with the most points in both splits and the Mid-Season Invitational will advance to the playoffs starting on May 31st.

At the end of the season, the top two teams from North America will go to the regional Ascension tournament, where a ticket to participate in the VCT 2024-2025 will be raffled off.
