The organizers presented the list of invited teams to participate in VALORANT Challengers 2023: North America Split 1

Tournament operator Knights Arena has revealed the names of six teams that have received invitations to participate in VALORANT Challengers 2023: North America Split 1. As expected, the organizers issued direct invites to TSM , G2 Esports , FaZe Clan , The Guard , Shopify Rebellion and M80 Esports.

They will be accompanied by four teams that will become the best in the open qualification. Also, the last two slots will go to the winners of the Last Chance Qualifiers. The start of the qualifiers is scheduled for Monday, January 9th. In turn, the Last Chance Qualifiers will be held from January 17 to 22. The split itself will start on February 1st.

All teams, with the exception of M80 Esports, were unable to partner with Riot Games to compete in the North American International League. In addition, several teams were not selected for the Challengers series, such as Dark Ratio.

VALORANT Challengers 2023: North America Split 1 will run from January 9 to March 14 online. As part of the championship, twelve North American teams will fight for the prize fund, the size of which has not yet been determined, as well as rating points.

The top eight teams from VALORANT Challengers 2023: North America Split 1 will make it to the Mid-Season Invitational at the end of March, and each of them will have the opportunity to earn more points in the regional Challengers table. The top eight teams with the most points in both splits and the Mid-Season Invitational will advance to the playoffs starting on May 31st.
